Testing Requirements
5th and 7th grade students enrolled in the Classic Guided Umbrella program are required to take a standarized test.
CCA requires testing for 5th and 7th graders enrolled in the Classic Guided Umbrella program. We host online and onsite IOWA testing.
For grades 2-9 there are several options to choose from that prepare your student/s for future test-taking in high school and beyond. We encourage you to choose between on-site, on-line, at home, special needs accommodations, or a combination of the aforementioned that best serves your family. Our CCA testing coordinator can help guide you to the best option. Some examples are Standford 10, IOWA, CAT, CTP.
Testing is used for evaluation and mentoring purposes. We do not publish or penalize students for low scores in specific subjects or cumulative scores. However, it is CCA’s goal to help you search out ways to educate your student most effectively so their scores will reflect your student’s hard work.
Students enrolled in the Basic Choice Umbrella program are not required to test, but may do so if they choose.
Registration for Onsite or Online IOWA testing
9th - 12th grade students enrolled in the Classic Accredited Guided high school program are required to take a "college prep" test each year.
All 9th – 12th grade students enrolled in the Classic Accredited Guided high school program must test each school year. We recommend ACT or SAT. 9th graders are not encouraged but allowed, with their advisor’s permission, take a the Standford or something other non-college entrance test. However, students in grades 10-12 need to register online for the ACT, SAT, or CLT college entrance exams. Graduation candidates must have a test score submitted to CCA by end of first semester of their senior year in order for the score to be used in diploma requirements and final transcript. All scores should be sent to Cumberland Christian Academy for submission with your high school transcript. When creating a student profile or registering with the testing organization please identify Cumberland Christian Academy as your school.

Each high school is encouraged to register with ACT online and identify CCA as their high school in order to allow transmission of student test scores directly to CCA. See video below for instructions.
