Amanda and her husband, Scott, have two children. They have been homeschooling classically for 15 years.

She has a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education. Amanda taught public school before having children, and has tutored Foundations, Essentials, ChA, and ChII with Classical Conversations for the last several years. She is an Assistant Principal and an advisor with CCA.
